PROFESSIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE
1970–1973 Assistant Director of the Comprehensive Health Planning Association of Central
California – A multi-county federal health planning agency funded under the old
Partnership For Health Act overseeing hospital licensing, nursing home licensing, and
facilities development.
1974–1975 Assistant Director of the California Rural Indian Health Board. This
was an organization funded through the US Public Health Service/
US Indian Health Service and with various State funding sources to
oversee the operation of 16 rural American Indian medical and
dental clinic facilities with local community governing boards, health
education components and other ancillary services.
1976–1978 Assistant Director of the California Urban Indian Health Council.
This organization was funded in similar fashion as the one noted
above, overseeing the operation of eight similar urban based
community Indian health clinics.
1978 Continued to do grant writing as a private consultant for Indian clinics during my first year of
chiropractic college.
1979 – 1980 While attending chiropractic college, taught the Public Health course.
1982 Taught courses at the chiropractic college in toxicology, infectious disease and G-I pathology
after graduation until beginning my private practice.
1982 – 2010 Currently in my 28th year of private practice in Mariposa, California.

Mental Health
Served on the Mariposa County Mental Health Advisory Board for ten years, serving at various times as chairperson and in a variety of officer and committee chairmanship positions.

In this capacity, I provide certified seminars in disability evaluation report writing for doctors of chiropractic, medical physicians, osteopaths, dentists, psychiatrists, etc., who want to become Qualified Medical Evaluators in the workers’ compensation system. I am also certified to teach seminars to existing QMEs for continuing education credit and to teach the Industrial Disability Evaluator Certification Program to doctors of chiropractic who want to become eligible to sit for the QME examination. Such teaching includes instruction in how to establish impairment ratings under the AMA Guide to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment, 5th Edition. (DWC-Med. Unit Provider #3 & #830)
