Develop and maintain relations with 6 Critical Access Hospitals in extended service areas. Direct and coordinate all hospital CME events. Identify opportunities for service line growth. Accomplishments:
Analyzed the specialty needs of the medical staff leading to the addition Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Pulmonology, Endocrinology, and Rheumatology at the hospital.
Recruited specialists to the Specialty Clinic that include: Hand Orthopedic Surgeon, Plastic/Reconstructive Surgeon, Pediatric Cardiologist,Pediatric Pulmonologist, Oncologist, Hematologist, Endocrinologist, Rheumatologist, and Neurologist.
Developed outreach services in extended service area including OB/GYN, Podiatry, Urology, Pulmonology, and Pediatric Rehabilitation. Outreach growth in OB/GYN permitted removing provider from guarantee within 6 months of starting.
Negotiated Pulmonology coverage for the hospital following the departure of staff Pulmonologist.
Developed survey tool to analyze physician satisfaction and action plan to improve physician satisfaction: scores increased from 3.09 (2007) to 3.20 (2008).
Developed and managed the operations of the 1st Women’s Health Expo Annual Event in Northeast Colorado; in coordination with the local city administration.
Developed a yearly training symposium for all Northeast Colorado Emergency Medical Services Providers.

Implemented succession plan for rehabilitation services.
Developed contractual agreement for the rehabilitation staff to teach sections of the Physical Therapy Assistant program with local Community College.
Created a staff share program with local nursing home for use of PT, PTA, OT, COTA staff that lead to the development of an agreement with nursing for cross coverage; strong impact on hospital need for travel labor.
Increased billing accuracy for hospital rehabilitation services from 53% to current rates of 97%.
Increased Out-Patient Satisfaction scores in the rehabilitation department from 90% to 94% in less than one year.
Increased Employee Satisfaction scores from 3.02 to 3.38 in 2008.
Reduced MH/Stat in Physical Therapy Services from .54 in 2006 to .50 in 2007. Reduced MH/Stat in Occupational Therapy services from .50 in 2006 to .48 in 2007. Rehabilitation operations were within the top ten of the 48 hospital system in 2007 based off of productivity measures.
